BALKAN ENTREPRENEURIAL NETWORK (BEN)

BI, in collaboration with the Dartmouth Entrepreneurial Network, has established the Balkan Entrepreneurial Network, which is a Balkan-wide network of young entrepreneurs. The network is designed to facilitate economic growth and development by providing education, training, and regular contact among young entrepreneurs and businesses across the region. BI/Dartmouth Entrepreneurial Network Kosovo Exchange Program 2013

Dartmouth College’s Dartmouth Entrepreneurial Network (DEN), the Ministry of Trade and Industry of the Republic of Kosovo, and the Balkan Institute have provided an opportunity for five young outstanding Kosovar entrepreneurs to participate in a 2-month undergraduate program on entrepreneurship in Hanover, New Hampshire, USA from January to March, 2013. The program included the course “Introduction to Entrepreneurship,” taught by Dartmouth’s Adjunct Professor of Business Administration and DEN founder Gregg Fairbrothers, and Dartmouth alumni Bill Nisen and Catalina Gorla. Students are worked with the Dartmouth Regional Technology Center and interfaced with several professors at Dartmouth’s Tuck School of Business. BI/Dartmouth Entrepreneurial Network Kosovo Exchange Program 2014

Balkan Institute (BI) and the Balkan Entrepreneurial Network (BEN) in collaboration with Dartmouth College, the Dartmouth Entrepreneurial Network (DEN), the Kosovo NGO Encouraging Young Entrepreneurs (EYE), the Ministry of Trade and Industry of the Republic of Kosovo, and POLIS University in Tirana, Albania, are sponsoring 6 outstanding young Kosovar entrepreneurs, 3 young Albanian entrepreneurs, and 1 young Serbian entrepreneur to participate in a 2 month undergraduate course on entrepreneurship in Hanover, New Hampshire, USA, starting January 2014. Courses are being held in the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire in the United States. As well as involvement with the Dartmouth Regional Technology Center, participants plan to visit state-of-the-art incubators and innovation centers in Boston and Cambridge, Massachusetts, and New York City.
